The Institute’s countrywide Meet the Members Tour took place in June. On the tour, we updated members on current developments in tax policy and administration and the work underway to progress members’ priority issues. Topics covered included; preparations for Brexit, tax policy to support indigenous businesses, tax appeals, Revenue’s new divisions, and Revenue services. … During the Q&A, members shared lots of useful feedback and suggestions which will feed into our ongoing representations work. Work at the MyEnquiries TALC sub-group continued over the summer and we will keep members updated on service developments in TaxFax. The Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland joined us on the tour, to provide information on financial supports available to SMEs, to help them with the challenges of Brexit. …  We are currently finalising our response to the Department of Finance’s Feedback Statement on the implementation of anti-hybrid rules in Finance Bill 2019.
